MS Project vs Planner
Primavera is one of the major players in project management software, and a different kind of migration target than Planner or Jira.
I wouldn't recommend it for small teams. The platform carries real weight — licensing, setup, the learning curve — and that weight doesn't pay off unless your projects need what Primavera is built for.
Where it does pay off: construction. Primavera shows up consistently in construction companies, and that's its main lane — not every construction business, but it's where the platform's strengths line up with the work. Outside that focus, the fit gets harder to justify.
The right target system isn't the one with the biggest name — it's the one that fits your processes. Every company is different, and that's where the real decision sits.
I'm preparing a detailed comparison — pros, cons, and what actually changes in the move from Project Online to Primavera.
